New York City, with its overabundance of sights and sounds, can sweep you off your feet the moment you step into this extraordinarily attractive place. Travelling to New York would mean that you would have no time to spend indoors the reason being the variety of outdoor diversions this city provides to its inhabitants and to everyone who come from all across.

The places to see in New York are varied and ranges from conservatory gardens to urban parks and from museums to famous eateries. The city has both small attractions and sites more acclaimed globally. Among the several attractions in the offering, Chrysler Building is definitely one to look out for. It was completed in 1930 and this, then, was considered as the world’s tallest building until the title was re- conferred upon the Empire State Building. Despite the title passing on to another structure, the Chrysler Building continues to be a favorite visiting spot for many because of the impressive murals carved in the lobby.

Coney Island is another great place that you could visit in New York. It has been a popular beach resort for a long time and is especially affordable for the not so well- off. Coney Island is a great place to get your quota of summer fun without having to spend much. The beach is especially a great place to hang out in because the beach is open to the public all the year round, is free and is groomed at regular intervals. Two major amusements in Coney Island are Astroland and Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park.

Situated on the 23rd Street at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Broadway in Manhattan the Flatiron Building is a unique sight in New York City with its distinguishable triangular shape. The area in which it is situated boasts of being posh with all the great boutiques and cafes available. Another site that is less visited but is as attractive is Gramercy Park, a park accessible to only the residents of the neighborhood in which it is situated and to whom the key to the garden is given (a tradition that dates back to1831). Whoever intends to tour New York, should stroll around the perimeter of the park.

The Grand Central Terminal is another wonderful place you could look around when you go to New York City. It is the world’s busiest train station but the grandeur of its Main Concourse has been awing people for years on end. In this respect even the Morris- Jumel Mansion can also quench your thirst for exploration considering that it is the oldest remaining house in Manhattan. Built in 1765 as a summer house for British Colonel Roger Morris and his wife this house has an extensive history of its own.

Once you have the time to go to New York make sure to visit the Riverside Church, housing the second largest carillon in the world. Climbing up the church would mean you would be able to get a spectacular view of the city down below.
